Back in 2001 a fellow by the name of Stephen Chow wrote, directed, and starred in Shaolin Soccer. The plot is similar to many other sports related movies. Think of The Bad News Bears, but instead of foul-mouthed, pre-pubescent adolescents; it has kung-fu fighting, cigarette-smoking, Shaolin monks (natch)!
Shaolin Soccer is an oddly funny, clever movie that is guaranteed to make you smile. I have not yet seen the English dubbed version, but the original with subtitles is great. Click the poster above to see the trailer.
